We'd be happy to add your radio-controlled model airfield to the dashboard. Email drnic@mocra.com with the details below and we'll get it live for you.
If your club runs a Weather Underground personal weather station (PWS), send us its station ID and we'll read the current wind straight off your own anemometer instead of the nearest official station, which can easily be 30 km away across a ridge. For wind, that difference is the whole ballgame.
Your station ID is the code in its dashboard URL —
wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/IIRONB10 → IIRONB10.
You can also find it by searching the
Wundermap
for your field. The station needs to be publicly visible on Weather
Underground (most are by default).
The 4-day forecast still comes from WillyWeather — a PWS reports what's happening now, not what's coming. If your station goes quiet, we notice and quietly fall back to the nearest official station rather than showing you a stale reading.
Running a different system — WeatherFlow / Tempest, Ambient Weather, Davis, or anything else? Tell us anyway. Many of them can also publish to Weather Underground, and we're happy to add new sources.
Forecasts today are powered by WillyWeather, so forecast coverage is strongest in Australia. We don't support other forecast providers yet — but if your field is elsewhere, get in touch anyway. We can add new sources quickly and would love to grow beyond Australia. (A Weather Underground station works anywhere in the world, so we can already show your live wind wherever you fly.)
